DONT PANIC !!!

Your latest challenge is to write a short story about Christmas on the Molehill....It can be as short as an IGM ...

This is not an examination !!! Your grammar and spelling will not be marked or criticised !!!!

It is your ideas that matter ... You can create a totally new story..... rewrite an old one.....write a short poem.... Just go where your imagination takes you...

What do you think the molehill gnomes get up to at Christmastime ???

Closing date 10pm Sunday 13th December...

CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Empty ROCKING HORSE CHRISTMAS by MOLE9

Post  Numptyz Fri Dec 04, 2009 10:39 pm

The little gnome started reading the story to the children...

"The boy found the horse under the tree. He pushed it softly and made it rock. "I'll call you Shadow," he said. Then he climbed on Shadow's back, and they took off. They rocked to the West- and lassoed an outlaw. They roccked to the East- and jousted with knights. They rocked all Christmas Day. Then the boy carried Shadow up to his room. He made a little stall and fed Shadow some hay. Shadow and the boy rocked together day after day. They went on safari on an African plain. They raced Seattle Slew in the Kentucky Derby. They rode to the land of the dinosaurs and fought a Tyrannosaurus rex. Every night, before sleep, the boy touched Shadow's mane. "Ride you tomorrow," he'd whisper. But as the boy got older, he didn't ride Shadow as much. And then, days and weeks and months went by when he didn't ride Shadow at all. Hour after hour, the rocking horse stood still, waiting to rock while the clock ticked away. "I know how you feel," said the old bear, who now stared sadly into space. One day, someone picked Shadow up and carried him to the attic. There he grew dusty and frail. A spider spun a web between his ears. "You must have been a great horse once," she said. Year after year, the rocking horse stared out of the window, looking for his boy. "
Then the boy who was now an old man, came to the attic and they played for ever after...

CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Empty A GNOME WINTER STORY from Carot

Post  Numptyz Sun Dec 06, 2009 9:58 pm

Hi all. Here is a Gnome Winter story from Carot.

The days of the Gnome Chrismas are near and so it's time to prepare. The apples ripened in the garden and plenty of pumpkin is in the storage. I will produce a tasty pumpkin pie and bake some cinnamon apples.

While the pumpkin is soaking for the pie, I can prepare some gnome presents. Mmm... a present would be a basket bulging with appetizing frost-apples and chilled-cherries, healthy herbs, a jar of garden grown jam, the best blackberry brew and topped-off with delicate, fragrant dried-flowers.

Let's flock in front of a fire-place with friends and have wholesome pumpkin pie with piquant herb tea. Here we will find a fulfilling glow to give gratifying gifts and feel fantastic.

Join this giving gesture and enjoy a superb Gnome Winter Celebration! CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Smile

CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Empty Re: CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009

Post  NightStar Thu Dec 10, 2009 8:23 am

It was freezing outside, horribly cold. But white christmas at least, what more could you expect it to be?

It happened that day, that Santa Claus had to visit the town hall to get his sledge driving license renewed.

When he entered the elevator, he met Mr. Baker, the only honest politician in town. Mr. Baker was more than pleased to see Santa Claus and said "Oh, that´s marvellous to meet you, sir, and to know you are around again this year. May I introduce Mr. Miller to you, he is a friend of mine and a very generous lawyer."

Santa Claus smiled and shook the hands of those two gentlemen.

As the elevator travelled up t the 7th floor, one by one they noticed a precious huge and sparkling diamond on the floor.

Who do you think picked up that diamond and handed it in at reception?

Could only be Santa Claus of course, the other two don´t actually exist!

CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Empty christmas on molehill empire- by beowulf

Post  beowulf166 Sat Dec 12, 2009 3:07 pm

`Twas Christmas time on Molehill Empire
When all the gnomes gathered around the fire
To cook baked potatoes wrapped in foil
And put carrots in a pot to boil
(As every good gnome knows it`s
law
That Rudolph likes carrots cooked -not raw) CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Icon_rendeer

All evening long they dance and play
Hoping just for once that they may
Catch one glimpse of the man in red
Before he leaves presents by their bed
They drink coffee and eat apple cake
In the desperate attempt to keep awake CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Icon_king

But Santagnome waits until they are sleeping
Only then around Molehill he can go creeping
Carrying boxes and baskets large and small
Loaded with vegetables for one and for all
They send their best wishes onto which i will build
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE IN THE PARTY TIME GUILD CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Icon_santa

CHRISTMAS ON THE MOLEHILL 1st DECEMBER 2009 Empty Blomman's Christmas Story

Post  Numptyz Mon Dec 14, 2009 1:55 pm

Once upon a time there was a small village far away from everybody else. The village was on the top of a mountain and eveybody was very small in height. Thay called the village Mole Hill. Everybody knew each other and everybody was cheerfull and happy. the only problem was that everybody was extremely forgetful. And everybody would forget the same thing. Once they all forgot to put on their shoes. And they all went around bare feet , and didn't remember until it started to snow. You can just imagine their surprise dicovering why they were freezing so. Once they all forgot their newly washed clothes hanging out in the sun. they didn't remember untill it started to rain, and then they had to washe it all over again. But most of the time they lived happy ther on the hilltop.
One day there was a girl who said to herself. I know there is something important I need to remember I wonder what it is? She looked around and saw all the trees in the forest. "I know it has something to do with a tree" she said. she looked at the sky. "I know it's something with a star" but I cant remember what. She looked in the shop window and saw all the toys. "OH, it's christmas today !" she cried to everybody she saw that it was christmas eve today. Everybody let go of all that they where doing and ran to clean the house, bake , and wrap presents. and it turned out to be the best christmas ever !
